The ring is Lord English. And also Calliope.

My suspicion of Roxy achieving Voidpower through placebo effect is pretty strong.  Especially since a placebo would be appropriate for the power of nothingness.

We already know for a fact that the ring does nothing for humans, including dreamselves.  Then again, the actual line written was "...the ring doesn't work like that on humans" which by Hussie's standards is a loophole big enough to drive a meteor though.

Teenagers sending art to Slylock Fox.

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

It's useful to bring up this discussion Rose had with Doc Scratch, where Doc Scratch basically says that items don't do anything at all and apparently never did.

We're spreading the word of Homestuck. It's all Hussie's plot to make Homestuck a nationally-published Sunday paper strip.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

But out of all the artwork that I'm sure the Slylock Fox folks get on a weekly basis, why would they pick that to publish?  To anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's just weird.  I'm sure the three or four other entries would have been equally if not more appropriate...

Unless one of the strip editors is... themselves... a Homestuck?!?!?!

And I can't believe I just fucking got the brilliance of it being Terezi for a children's strip about detectives.

No matter how many discrete parts this story collects, it never ceases to amaze me how much I can enjoy rereading them again.  Man, remember when that guy seemed so important?  What a strange time.

So, I think I know how Calliope knew about the troll's plans for hunting magic items and gathering an army.  She was listening in.

Specifically, look at the statue on the right and watch.  There's a small black dot that moves down and appears to jump towards Tav.  I'm thinking that's Calliope in the guise of a firefly.

I'm currently wondering how far AR will go. Will AR's AR make another auto responder? Will there be an entire race of Little Hal Junior Juniors? I fully expect this rabbit hole to go deeper than just 2 Auto responders.

Then the autoresponders loop back to Dirk somehow.

Wow, I just now figured out that Scratch tricked Rose into going grimdark.

He wasn't even particularly subtle about it. The duplicitous bastard really was telling the truth the whole time.
