Yeah, it does seem to be more or less holding up so far.

I am noticing a kind of deep symbolism with the way Caliborn, and Calliope seem to represent the comic's detractors who hate it and want to see it gone completely, and the fans who love every part of it obsessively.

I am pretty sure I have already commented on how rich on unfortunate implications it is to style the main villain to a metaphor for you own work's hatedom?
Well, we all know that Hussie did that mainly to add another layer of self-reference, that Caliborn doesn't stand for the people just disliking MSPA, but for those who are unhealthily obsessed with their hate towards it (a strange phenomena, that, while certainly not new, only came to rise and shine thanks to the internet and its fan cliques and subcultures) ... still, on the first glance it looks like propping a strawman, villifying one's distractors and denying them the right to criticise.

I wonder if Hussie will make this balancing act. Yes, he is adding dimensions to Caliborns character now, but that may turn out to be even more insulting.

Honestly, I wonder if we'll have to hunt down the moving arrow to get to the next page... and when we do if MSPA.com will still be all messed up.

It will more or less be a word-for-word retelling of Tenchi Muyo. Homestuck was just a roundabout way of introducing the harem that will be living in Hussie's house with him.
