He was supposed to, but most of the trolls apparently never achieved their full potential so it's hard to say if Equius ever "became the void" aside from the puns, at least to the extent that John has "become breath". John is also god tier, so that might have something to do with the extent of becoming breath.

I was just thinking, right before I read today's update, that Caliborn isn't English. His Red Herring Blood and all. So who else would have those exact deformities and so forth, barring ridiculous coincidence? Calliope. What a twist! Spin even! Some sort of circular motion: Dare I say it, English?

Maybe there's a reason Adult Rose's bad guy was named Calmasis? 

So I said to myself "Maybe the whole 'Say my name' thing isn't going to stop Lord English: Maybe it's what causes him/her/it." That would be very Hussien, I think.

Other potential evidence: LE using Calliope's wand to blow up the afterlife. Caliborn's thoughts being messed with by the narrative - but besides Hussie, we've got one other writer running around, even if she does prefer fanfiction...

Counterevidence: Red blood during awakening scene. Uses Riflecane to shoot Hussie. Both are Caliborn traits.

Third option: Timeshare? Like Vravros? They'd be totally insane at that point, and their body would share traits of both rather than switching between the two.

So, is this theory plausible? Unfounded? Or just stupid?

She definitely has a hand in all this. Perhaps the ghost they are looking for is not Calliope, but Caliborn.

I just checked through the archive, and while it doesn't specify if Caliborn needs to hear Calliope's name or just see it for the switch to happen, Calliope wanted Roxy to message Caliborn and say her name. Which implies that either text is good enough, or she expected Roxy to send a recording of her saying Calliope's name but did not outright tell her to do that. I'm leaning towards the former personally.

Either way, I doubt it matters. Calliope's dead, the narration just said so, and Aranea said in her numerous exposition dumps last intermission that Caliborn (if he is LE) gained dominance over their shared body and essentially killed her. He even has solid red cheeks instead of the swirls Calliope had. Caliborn's likely the only in that body now, and saying Calliope's name won't work.
