Heeheeheehee.

What music was that, by the way? I think it was from Vol. 8.

I am still suspicious that it was a Minion.
(I forgot just how creepy Grandpa Harley's hoard was. Wolpertinger!)
But either way, it means the alpha-denizens are alive. Time for shenanigans!

...

After this short special of Vriska's new endearing adventures. YAY!!

Alpha denizens have been confirmed as alive since the very first Mystbound flash.

I remember a year ago, after the Act 6 breakdown, prognosticating that Homestuck was going to easily last into late 2013.  And when Hussie said in the Kickstarter that the comic was going to be done next year, I knew goddamn well he was going to do this.  There was going to be a timeskip montage, and the actual happenings within the session, exactly like John and company and the trolls, was going to be passed over in very short order.

I just didn't expect it to be one goddamn flash.  Fuck I hope the next panel is "psyche" with at least another week or so of character interaction.  I miss everybody all the time.

Not to mention it just adds to my expectation that Act 7 is going to be about as long as the Problem Sleuth epilogue.

...Why was Jack tallying days by sevens anyways?

And that mustache has so many connotations it's unbearably hilarious.

Interesting. I forgot basically everything about the Alpha-session. Is this one ERIBODY DIES prophecy already fulfilled with their entry?

EDIT REGARDING GIANT NINJA: THEORY 1: The seven days interval is a really popular measurement on Earth, probably because it fits the moon phases well. SBURB may simply have adapted it to ease the communication between chess people and humans

THEORY 2: For the same reason Trolls speak American English.

Well, that was the shortest act ever. But still pretty cool. New gear and outfits are always cool, I kinda wish we could see the alchemy binges that made them. Oh well. Main thing from the flash that sticks in mind is Jake's Sweet Bro tattoo, which goes with Dirk's Hella Jeff one. Did he have that before, or is it new? It's been so long since we last saw these guys that I don't remember. If it is new then the DirkxJake shippers are probably going crazy, which explains this high pitched noise assaulting my ears.

Anyway, back to other heroes. After this all of our living heroes should finally be together.

This is all cool and I like seeing these kids again, but there is this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that more sloppy makeouts are gonna happen.

I liked this act, short though it was.

Well, at least he didn't stretch out this act to insuffereable length, huh? Huh?

Yeah, half an act of in-comic shipping has made me a prude.

He is counting weeks, I assume.

I wanted to hate Hussie for this update. But I didn't. I just laughed. And laughed. And laughed. And laughed.

I'm still laughing. Why can't I stop.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

Well, that was the shortest act ever.
But still not quite as short as Intermission 2.

Just out of curiosity, what sort of insane speculation has the fanbase done about the blatant incorporation of an aspect symbol into Yaldabaoth's design?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Possibly Dersite numeral system.
Or just weeks.
