I am not talking about the pic- that is already in use since in the first ">check mspaintadventures.com" page, if I am not mistaken-- but why Hussie set aside a directory(or how you call it) on his site for this specific image.

I'm pretty sure it's just a joke on the fact that there's a Midnight Crew MSPA in the Homestuck universe. It's set up just like the first page of every other adventure.

Maybe when Homestuck ends, Hussie will do sporadic Midnight Crew updates to keep his creative momentum going.  He talked before about how important that momentum was for him.  I know he'll be working on the game (woo!) but that's different.
