On fanfics, there's one I can't quite remember the name of. Thanks, that was really irritating that I couldn't remember it.

I read this and noticed that it made multiple references to John having a "Mind Dave". Consider that Jake is the post-scratch kid most physically similar to John and Dirk most similar to Dave.
