I've also heard the Andrew said the others also had burial-related planet names, but that might have just been fan-rumors that got out of hand.

Yeah, but what about that means that everyone else's consorts are dead? I'd imagine that Jane's dead consorts are part of her quest - return life to the world. (Which would change the Crypts in her planet's name to something else upon completion, muck like what John's quest would have to do with LOWAS)

It's a logical assumption to make.

Not really, considering that Jane's a hero of Life.

Off topic, but I have to ask, is 3 in the Morning and it's various remixes anyone else's favorite songs from the Homestuck albums?

I like playing it on the piano and guitar and whatever instrument that has keys, holes, or at least 5 strings :P

Also, I watched the South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" today and it was really enjoyable when I think of Jenkins (the antagonist) as Lord English.

Okay, so I'm about halfway through Act 5.1 on my reread, and I've come to the realization that, if you look at it a certain way, everything Equius says can be taken as a double entendre. With the possible exception of his conversations with Nepeta.

That's why Equius was my favourite troll.
At least during 5.1, since he didn't do much since.

I'm pretty sure the dead consorts are because it's a null session, not because she's a hero of life.

Void session, not null session.

Void sessions are a subset of null sessions. The B2 session is null and void. I don't see why that means that the consorts are all dead though.

Actually, yeah, nevermind. I was thinking along the lines of the infertile session being dead in other ways, since it seems like big things like that have an effect on the rest of the session. See: whatever Caliborn does has already caused Skaia to turn gray and shadowy.

But I've changed my mind on the consorts. I think the reason they're all dead is because of Dirk and Roxy being so far in the future. The consorts have to wait an extra 413 years, and they're all dead by then. I know time technically doesn't matter between the game and Earth, but it still seems like a plausible reason for the "hundreds of years" thing to be happening.

I do still agree that it being a void session could well be at least part of it. Void sessions are Ohio-like places which were supposed to be generally devoid of interesting things as well as these more or less barren wastelands where nothing ever happens. Consorts no longer being around would make sense in such a setting. Though, it is Homestuck, so attributing any specific cause to an effect is kinda pointless, as the effects will usually occur independently of a cause anyway. :)

Well, in the Cals' session Derse has already won. That'll be why Skaia is black, and without a reckoning too.

Anyways, what's the difference between null and void? Is it that null sessions are destined to not succeed and void sessions are incapable of success, or am I making that up from somewhere?
