I sense an intermission is about to happen.

You know that GameGrl
Is a joke.
Right?
It was never meant to be taken literally, it's shining a humourous light upon how girl gaming developed, and the music is secondary to the content of the lyrics. It's like if SBaHJ were the same but without being badly drawn, then placed into song form.
It is not bad in its quality, but in its inherent design. At the same time, that badness of design is its purpose.

I love GameGirl. It's so bad.

I'd be embarrassed if anyone caught me listening to it, but I do like GameGrl. It's a marvelous counterpart to GameBro, and Tavia Morra's sickeningly peppy singing voice works really well. You can almost see the cheap candy-colored special effects and the bluescreen glitches. And the first time I heard the part where she seamlessly segues into a cereal advertisement, I actually burst out laughing.

It must have been really seamless, because I never even heard it.
I'll listen again later, but wow, I can't believe I'd have missed something like that. It takes some skill to do that.

Oh, I know it's a joke. I still can't stand it :p

It wouldn't be that bad, but her voice just makes me cringe. And not in the way SBaHJ makes me cringe; that's a good way. So for me, it is bad in quality but not in inherent design.

Look for me on specially-marked boxes of Betty Crocker brand snacks and have an adult call the toll-free number to subscribe to the girls-only GameGrl Magazine.

Okay so it's technically not cereal but that was my first association on hearing the words "specially marked boxes". :P

Did anyone else know Expedition is an English remix?
Yes. I was all :O when I noticed.

Also, a Wind Waker reference too.

UPDATE. Did I get here first?
Yup.

Is that second-to-last panel meant to be all white?

It really is surprising how rare a new melody is. They're almost all reused from older songs.
That was actually the point of the album.

UPDATE. Did I get here first?

I was going to post "Are we really doing this again?" but that would have been dumb.  Now I can, because there's other things to discuss.  Namely, Hiatustuck.

The bottom line is, this is all going to add up to a whole lot of "me not updating Homestuck" for a while. It's not really what I want, but there's just no way around it.

So, near future is a whole lot of nothing and probably two cool but short flashes, until August or so.  Well then, let the shitting up commence.

I guess we can pass the time by exchanging phonographic and badly drawn SBaHJ fanart.

Wait what?

Did anyone else know Expedition is an English remix?

It's both.
