Why would it be DD?  He could have done it later, but last time we got Red Miles on Earth in 2422 it was Jack causing it in A2. 

My theory is basically that the frog links to both pre- and post- scratch Earth, and the Condesce goes on the attack to force the kids out of B2 before it is destroyed in the same manner as B1.  More speculatively, she's doing all this because her current empire is imminently doomed, and she needs someone to make a new universe for her to hop to.

Yeah, I also have a suspicion that B2 is the same frog as B1 and still gets destroyed by Jack. If nothing else, if it's a new frog, the Scratch would've rendered destroying the universe moot from a story perspective. It gets a new incipisphere, though. It is also possible that it's DD's Miles (absolutely nothing we've seen has ruled it out), but I think that would require some additional exposition to explain how it's happening, in terms of just how the Miles can leave the session to find their target.

DD was specifically aiming to kill Dirk's dreamself. There's no reason that they would go to Earth, and we're not sure if that's even possible in the first place. I'm personally thinking that B2 is essentially just an alternate timeline to B1 and has the same frog, so it seems more likely to me that this is just part of Jack killing said frog.

I mean, I assume she leaves the session through a defense portal, exiling herself with a great many of her carapace minions. In this hypothesis, which has no in-story support really, she rules Derse before Earth on her personal timeline. Rather than leaping back and forth.

True, but presumably the portal would need to remain open for the duration of the attack, which is substantial. And we don't see the Miles emerging from a defense portal, but instead from a nondescript glow.
