Heheh, this is funny of course... stupid Jake doesn't understand about time scratchings... but I was half-expecting mind-DIRK to do something.  I mean, this version of Meenah hasn't committed the atrocities, but she IS the Condecse.  We know that, when given the brutal upbringing of post-scratch Alternia, she is basically the most awful person imaginable.  Whether that means she's an inherently bad person depends on your position on the nature/nurture argument.  In this setting it's clear nature counts for a lot (though not everything, since this Aranea doesn't sound like she casually enslaves and rapes people).

I guess I'm not saying it's right to be mad at the pre-scratch trolls, but I would understand if Dirk was.  Particularly as the destroyer of souls, faced with all these ghosts.  Ghosts who created the batterwitch, one of which is the batterwitch's soul.  Maybe he's biding his time.
