As the Prince of Heart, his "soul" is fragmented. IDE/Theory: The reason Dirk is so boring is because his real self was split off into AR and Jake's mind fragment.

Fleshy human Dirk is just more chill than his many alternate selves (wow, selves is a real word apparently).  I would guess it's due to self consciousness from watching his artificial nothing-to-lose autoresponder shamelessly flirtplay with Roxy.

Which I never thought about before, but... doesn't that imply dirk wasn't gay at 13?  Or hadn't realized it yet?  Better yet, it really is harmless insincere fun, and the autoresponder doesn't actually like Roxy that way.

I expect great things from Autoresponder.  He heavily suggested that he has ALL THE PLANS.  And emotions.

If you recall the text on the light-temple from [S] ACT 6 ACT 3, all the "lights" but the light of Life will be extinguished eventually.  The light of Hope appears to have been extinguished with the death of Jake's dreamself.  As such, it is reasonable to conclude that, at minimum, Dirk's dreamself is going to die.
