“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

And the Nic Cage quote out of nowhere? I died laughing.

I also like how dreamdirk basically drops that he's gay for him and Jake pays it no mind at all. I guess Jake knew all along but subconsciously chooses to remain ignorant of the truth.

But it wasn't subconcious? It was all aired quite clearly back when Jake was talking to Jane. Specifically, around the part Jane started head-desking, the main cause of which was Jake realising Dirk probably had plans for him, and Jane talking him into going for it.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure the whole buckets thing is purely a result of the scratch, so they probably don't have any particular meaning in pre-scratch troll culture.

Possible hilarity for bucket discussion with Aranea + Karkat in future? Hmmm...

Presumably, being a Page lets Jake tap into knowledge we, the audience, will gain in later pages.
