Something to consider.  Hussie was asked how old Bro is (Dave's Bro).  He said Bro was the same age as himself, born in 1977.  Yeah, Hussie is 35 years old.  This fits kinda snugly into the story, because 2009 - 13.5 - 18 = 1977ish, making Bro eighteen when he adopted Dave.

With their meteor arrival dates swapped, that would mean Dave was "born" in 1977.  So, when he faced down the Juggodents, he was at least forty seven years old.  Dig it, daddio.

Receding hairline?

A special kind of rededing hairline, yes.

That would explain it.

Possibly he stayed on the board too long.

You have to flip it turnways!?!

In the meanwhile, Rosemom serves Guy Fieri some eye scream.

Actually, Dirk said the confrontation took place after the Presidents had spend several terms in office. Several implies three or more, thus 12 years. Dave was at least fifty-nine years old when he ascended atop the shittiest skateboard in history.

The meteor dates weren't exactly swapped, what with Dirk being born centuries in the future (but not many). Not to say that fifty-year-old Dave isn't plausible.

Dirk and Roxy are abnormalities. The other 6 babies all swapped places.

The whole gag was a little stale, glad it wasn't stretched out further than needed. And really, the best way to take out two chucklefucks is with seriousness business.

Dave was always the more professional one.

We don't actually know that. It's entirely possible, nay, probable, that the switches were offset by just enough to make things work. Although 60-year-old Dave doing this is basically awesome and therefore probably canon.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

So uhm yeah.

If there is any deviation it should be minor enough to not matter.
