As totally wtf messed up as it is, I do think it is good writing and a really clever use of something he's already set up. Who better to explore the possibilities of two sapient beings being prototyped than Tavros and Vriska? There is no combination of dead characters that I think would have that kind of dramatic potential so kudos to Hussie for... whatever the hell he's done here.

Now if only he'd explain how the hell it happened.

Well you can't explain these things the exact moment it happens, you have to wait for that information later. Time works linearly dude. I'll consider calling Gamzee the most important character in Homestuck enough foreshadowing for him to do something weird and fucked up that we don't quite understand.

I'm a little more interested in how Gamzee apparently kept a couple of corpses fresh for at least three years.  That's Jane's fridge he's pulling them out of.  I'm also curious to see just how pissed that thing is going to be and whether it will mete out vengeance of the right clown.

Also, I will give Hussie props for the Problem Sleuth reference, I did chuckle at that.

OH! He preserved them in the test-tube thingies that the meteor had. That makes sense.

Oh, that's easy. He's got some time tables right there. He just went back and got them from himself while they were still relatively fresh.

Even easier. The meteor kids said they could not find him. He used the timetables when he grabbed the bodies to travel forwards three years. Vriskas corpse is as fresh as when the bucket hit Karkat in the face.

No.

I'm starting to wonder if that counts as adequate foreshadowing at this point, though. There are so many things unexplained and this came right out of the blue. I have the feeling we're gonna have to wait a bit before we get any answers, too.

Cal was with him when that happened, but Cal wasn't in the picture. So I guess it's not Cal.

I think you forgot this is Homestuck we're talking about. Time does whatever the hell it damn well pleases.

One more for the Theory Pile: he grabbed the codes for their bodies and alchemized up some fresh ones, somehow.

Now that you mention it, there's no reason to believe time passes for objects in the sylladex. He doesn't even need to alchemize them.

Guys! There is a development I think we may have ignored!

Jane absolutely does not care about the fact that Gamzee is a demonic alien-clown horned beast.

Do Alpha-verse humans know what trolls are?
