No, I knew that the post scratch kids were the pre scratch guardians, I'm just wondering if the whole sburb thing started at the guradian's generation, or if the roles were reversed and the pre scratch kids switched roles and grew up as guardians in the post scratch universe.  I feel like I can't communicate clearly what I mean.

While it's probably not all that important, I'm just curious to know, assuming it's not too spoilery.

You've got it clear enough.  If it makes you feel any better, we don't wholly know the answer to that one ourselves, but yes, ostensibly the Pre-Scratch Kids grew up as Guardians.  Probably.  You're almost caught up.

I wouldn't fault anyone for skipping the Scratch narration. He's even more of an ass than the author avatar.

I'm talking Troll-ancestors here. After all, Darkleer, the Condesce, and to a lesser extent Mindfang and the Highblood all had the same powers as their  descendants.

I assume the human post-scratch kids only have different aspects because it would be redundant otherwise.

The troll's seem to be genetical identical clones of their ancestors anyway, while the kids aren't. This may influence their titles, probably in an extremely symbolic way; like showing the difference between [genetic]heredity(aspect) and character(class). Since the players are, in the end, game products, their abilities could be innate, but the way they can use them could be dependend on their character/choice.

I love how he threw in the bone that Aranea knows she's a bland, self-important chatterbox.  And how she's distinct from her counterpart by the friendly blandness.

Actually, she sounds almost exactly like how Hussie wrote Aradia a year ago.  Which kinda makes sense, being a friendly deceased infonerd after all.
