I think Hussie is invoking "Ignorance is Bliss" here. You have Meteorstuck where they are pondering their purpose in life while dealing with eachother during the worse and Drama filled part of adolesnce, and they don't seem to terribly great.

Meanwhile you have John and Jade (who are siblings) who are just chilling with real friendly consorts and Sprites which I don't see them engaging any in any romantic relations with (Other then a little teasing) with their biggest concern being "When will we get to beat up the bad guy?". And they are really having a blast.

(Excuse any misspellings or bad grammar, on a phone here)

As if Jack Noir wasn't bad enough, he just has to go around murdering Guardians.

It's like this weird mix of sad and rage, sadrage I guess.  Also the royalty was chopped in half with a chainsaw.  Hooray.
