I don't know, I've thought that joke was hilarious for at least a year now. Lord English's appearance in the comic just seems to have revived it.

We are all the Skifree monster. But Karkat is the most Skifree monster of all.

Also, I bet that the next dream trolls we see are Equius and Nepeta.
We saw Eridan and Feferi, who have the Aspect of Hope and Life respectively, like Jake and Jane. So it stands to reason we'll see the trolls of Void and Heart.

Or spending a year in person with Dave is enough to change ones speech patterns a bit. Especially when talking TO him.
