Theory: The trolls we're seeing now are the pre-scratch trolls' "ancestors". They're all relatively pathetic and embarrassing, and the badass ancestors (eg Mindfang the luck pirate or whatever the shit) are completely made up by the trolls to cover for this inadequacy.

I think it could be Gamzee's pre-scratch ancestor. We have UU, who talks in lowercase and is rather polite, and then we have uu, who talks in upper case (except for u's) and is rather rude. The twist Hussie is building up to will be the reveal that they are actually THE SAME PERSON.
