Qmarx has a point. Besides, if he was worried about nonessential plot elements slowing the story down, why add a whole bunch more characters? No sense there.

Well, I'm lost. Two UUs? What mysterious bullshit is this?

Oh right. Homestuck. I'm beginning to think that when Hussie said Act 6 would be shorter, he was lying his ass off/failing at prescience (which we all know is the same thing for Hussie, who obviously has supernatural powers). It's either that, or we won't have any sort of opportunity to get to know all these new characters he's working in very well, and some of these new people end up filling the role he originally planned the trolls to, as voices on a computer screen who tell us their story and then die off as nothing more than text.
