You know it just struck me how useless the recipe modus is... To get the recipe for something, you need to already have the item, so it doesn't help you acquire anything new, and it is annoying for giving other people the recipe for making such an item themselves, because it requires them to collect the items in the recipe, and that would mean they already have the stuff to make the item straight from the code anyway.

How is it more useful to run around getting random items than just punching in a code?

Because it would be possible to make duplicates of an item that is possibly cheaper than the original.

How so? You would still be paying the same amount of grist, but instead of punching a new card for each thing, you would be doing it the old fashion way by putting two cards over each other.

Unless you needed the || operator, then you are fucked.

That seems pretty likely. Obviously moving between universes requires a lot of energy, so it'd have to be powerful (and thus expensive), not mention be stable and fixed, and not have to rely on Appearifier or Sendificator Technology, which are unreliable.
