His ancestor's story fits it, anyways. A visionary/prophet (in Jesus's case the son of God) passes his teachings down to his disciples and gets killed because of it.

No that is the point. Karkat is still alive and kicking, but it looks like in the future he will reach god tier, and then die.

Well, that was trippy. Kinda fits since dreams aren't known for making sense. It was nice to hear Even In Death in a flash, that is a very good song. And, most importantly, God Tier Karkat, WTF? I guess he'll ascend in the future? Or the Sufferer ascended when he was a player and that's him? Neither? God this is confusing.

 Seeing as Dave, Rose and various living trolls are wandering through the space where Dream bubbles dwell, they are probably spending their three years exploring them. The weird laws on how dreambubbles work could allow them to explore various different memories without leaving their vessel, despite appearing several lands apart. Which is why Rose and see Roxy standing in front of her despite still being beyond time and space away from her.
