Yeah, I am no longer invested in the story itself.  I am invested in the process.  I'm interested in seeing what pieces fall together where and how, and what becomes of the story.  Of the contents, I'm finding my ability to give a fuck has mysterious vacated the premises.

Funny that it took this long to get the closest thing ever to a complete cast page.  Named characters omitted from the page, in descending order of noteworthiness: The White King, Casey/Salamancer, Mutini, the sprites, the ancestors (including the Condesce), and the lusii.  Add all that up, and you have the entire cast of Homestuck, save the unseen UU and the faceless FedoraFreak.

And judging by the specific number of curtains, I think it's safe to say that Hussie is very aware of how exactly he wants to write the rest of the story.  He's alluded many times that while he's had the basic plot in mind from the beginning, he's been making up the flow and the details as he goes along.  At this point, he's working to a plan.

Listening to HS Vol. 8, I now realize what an awesome name Infinity Mechanism would be for a manga plot device. 永久運動の工具 - written as 'tool of perpetual motion', which I suppose doesn't sound that cool, but with むげんだいのメカニズム in furigana. It sounds much less cool when you explain the whole name, but the idea is cool.
