John and Jade, as well as Rose and Dave, are biological twins, genetically identical in every way. We still have no damn idea how the ectobiology works for the post-scratch kids. Were they born in B1 or B2? Who knows.

 Of course now you can ship John with the adults of the comic now, so long as you give him a sweet 'stache.

The theory wasn't that they were true identical twins, but rather sex swapped identical twins. AKA 98% genetic equivalence as compared to 75%.

After all, everything is possible with ectobiology.

Of course the eye color shoots that theory straight to hell, since it isn't a Y linked characteristic.

About the twin thing. They are twins. They were born the same day. From the same "parents". Period.

Yeah, they were all born at literally the same moment.  And were "born" at roughly a year old or so, by the looks of them, which makes their biological ages a little fuzzy, but they were still created at the same time.  But they did arrive on Earth on different days, so technically John is about five months younger than the rest of them.  Fuckin' time travel man.

By the way, interesting note I'll probably forget if I don't mention it now: It is almost one year to the day since the last pesterlog with Rose and Kanaya.  Food for thought.
