 Fraternal twins are due to two separate eggs being fertilized at the same time, which can cause genetic disparities in the recessive/dominant genes. This ectobiology is based around combining the DNA of two people, outputting the code and cloning babies based on the code. Where the biological method has room for random variation this method is based on the exact same sequence.

 I will concede that due to XY chromosome stuff their codes can't be identical, so the machine must have ensured a male and female offspring, but they are quite clearly different and more related than textbook fraternal siblings.

Not really, normal siblings are the result of the same mixture of genes, it's just that different parts are used in each case. Infact, I would say that Jade and John are LESS related then normal siblings because the portions of the slime that made them are probably non-intersecting.
