This was in a 1950’s Betty Crocker cookbook for kids.

And Hussie didn't even name John.

I am freaking the fuck right now.  Is... Is Betty Crocker real?  Are we being trolled by reality itself?  Nothing makes sense anymore.

It's probably because John and Jane are pretty common names, but whatever i'd rather believe that the Batterwitch is doing this all on purpose.

"John" and "Jane" are pretty generic male and female names. Ever heard the terms "John Doe" and "Jane Doe"?

Don't let me get in the way of your freak out, though :D

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

No, she is not real. The Betty Crocker corporation does employ an alien princess, but she has never been connected to the "Betty Crocker" persona.

What makes it even more baffling is that they're in front of a lab. I'm guessing it's some kind of demented carnival.

It just stood there.
And watched.
You always found it creepy when it just stood there and watched.

Brobot: Be Metal Sonic

Wonder how long it's going to take what's-her-name to reprogram the thing.  Somehow.  Probably by craftily remote-accessing its router and typing "admin / password".
