It's probably because John and Jane are pretty common names, but whatever i'd rather believe that the Batterwitch is doing this all on purpose.

"John" and "Jane" are pretty generic male and female names. Ever heard the terms "John Doe" and "Jane Doe"?

No, she is not real. The Betty Crocker corporation does employ an alien princess, but she has never been connected to the "Betty Crocker" persona.
