So NewAlpha-John is dead.

Fuck.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

Here's the dumbest thought I've ever had, and which was probably had by hundreds of others, at least. Would the best gamebreaker be to prototype another sprite with Jade now?

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Probably PM in queen mode.  Then again, that sort of recursion could lead down a dangerous path...

I wonder what happens if you prototype a sprite... Do all imps get ghost tails and must give out useless game hints?

If all the players in a hypothetical session have stuffed dreamselves (or if your dreamself continues to exist and can die on its quest bed in the event of self-prototyping, which Aradia suggests is probably the case, and can further assimilate your regular selfsprite), it's theoretically possible to prototype every player (and a single first guardian) into some sort of multiomnipotent ultragod monstrosity.

All the enemies in such a scenario would, of course, be ridiculous amalgamations of all the stuffed dreamselves, with none of their superpowers since (if you're sane) you will not prototype anything but selves or dreamselves until after entering the Medium. Pretty horrifying to contemplate, actually.

An entire game spent either slaughtering or abusing emotionally-unhinged versions of yourself and your friends.  Yeah, I think I'll stick with plain old random objects.  Remember, just don't do anything too retarded.

I would totally sprite an MP3 player, just so that the imps would bring along awesome beats for every battle.
Because frogs are too hard to catch.

How is it even possible for there to already be cosplayers of Jane and Jake?

Already posted, and we already discussed the bewildered black woman in the background.

I also love how Hussy foreshadows to EVERYTHING, keeps us on our toes so we try to look into everything as a possible reference to future updates.

I admit that I didn't read like 3 pages because doing so would have lessened my Skyrim time. And clearly, Skyrim is very important.

Work tomorrow is gonna suuuuuck.

Hmm... that changes everything. I shouldn't have skimmed through the walls of text, but...

Does that mean that the kids have a chance of appearing in the new session as dead, soon to be prototyped objects or something?

I'm guessing that things are going to go similarly to the pre-Scratch session, and we'll get to see sprite!R-John and stuffed!R-Jade.  You never really know, but it would make for some interesting interaction when all the kids finally meet up.

By the way, how're we referring to the post-Scratch universe?  I see alpha and R- thrown around in fairly equal measure.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

Well, we call it anything without any formal terminology, but I propose we call it the Bizzaro Session post-scratch.
