Why are so many Homestucks interested in chubby girls?

I blame Vriska.

Also, I like the allusion to the whole Webcomic Time thing that has been going on since Homestuck started. We have now found out exactly where those two and a half years that the comic has been comicking went.

I do wonder about this though. When we saw the ecto-grubs from Alterniabound there were only the trolls and not the ancestors. Perhaps when this glitch takes place the grubs from pre-scratch appear there instead of being ectobiologized? There are a lot of questions regarding genesis and ectobiology and how this whole glitch is supposed to work.
I don't know about seeing the actual ectogrubs, but it's mentioned by... Kanaya? I think? that Karkat ectobiologized the trolls and their ancestors but that he thought the extra grubs were just junk since he didn't believe in the ancestors.
They mention the second set of grubs but don't really go into detail about it. Karkat could have ectobiologized them, but it's a possibility that they just appeared around the same time he produced his own gang from some time portal thingy.

And the possibility of there only being one Mom and Bro has been addressed. Mom/Bro start off crated by John in U2 ectobiology lab. Their meteors go to post-scratch session instead of the kids session, where they grow up and play their session. During this they somehow find their way into pre-scratch session, where they become the guardians of the kids.

At this point it makes the most sense to me.

Wait why does the poster say alpha, I recall the original one in John's house said beta.
Is it just something unimportant or does this mean this session will start relatively before the original session started? As in the one that will be played now has actually been played before in the original kids perspective?

I'm not a huge homestuck fan so I'm not really paying very close attention to the details, but this one is kind of bugging me, anyone care to enlighten me?  :P

The Troll's session was supposedly an Alpha as well. It is unknown as to the significance of this, but over in the "Let's contemplate our navels" thread, better known as the MSPA Comic Discussion thread, it has been suggested that perhaps, after a scratch, the S____B equivalent gets moved back one release. Perhaps it is a sort of multiversal counter, stating that this session can only be scratched twice before the Universe Frog is no longer capable of procreating.  Perhaps, before the session we knew and loved, there had been another scratch which had started at the full-release stage, which had to be scratched for some reason. Perhaps only Alpha versions of S____B can create new universes, possibly related to the Alpha timeline concept.

In other words, we can't enlighten you, but we can throw a bunch of theories at the wall and see which ones stick.

Another thought occurs to me: Is it said anywhere that no other sessions from the kid's original Earth succeeded in getting into the Medium? What was the effect on their sessions, then, after the kids scratched? Did they have victory torn from their grasp, like the trolls? Did they simply get deleted, swept under the paradoxical rug without a second thought? Did they actually succeed, and create a new universe?

Or did nobody else make it? I suppose that's always a possibility, though it seems astronomically unlikely. Though I suppose that's the nature of paradox space.

So I'm thinking of starting a bifurcated DF succession game with my mod when the next update is released (the mod or DF, whichever comes sooner :P)

One on the MSPA Fora, one on the Bay 12 Forums.

Fedorafreak managed to reach his medium, at least.

How the kid's scratch effects them is unknown, but I don't think they were just deleted. I see no reason why that would happen. They seem to be unconnected, and the idea of one getting scratched causes them all to be deleted seems somewhat contrary to the game's purpose. Plus, it doesn't make sense to me based on what the scratch is. It's basically deleting you save data and trying again. If you and your roommate both play a game, and you decide to start over and delete your save, your roommates save shouldn't be deleted with it.

Okay so here's what's going to happen.

Jane and friends are going to enter their session the usual way, and then Jade's going to bust through a fourth wall like nobody's business and drop her planets off inside Jane's Medium and then bam that eight player session Aqizzar has brought up several times before.

Hmm, these'll probably have to be the four new god tiers, then.  4 trolls, 4 kids, 4 alpha-kids.

there are 12 types of heroes we know of
breath, light, time, space, blood, mind, rage, doom, heart, void, hope, and life
of these, 8 have had major characters attatched to them
the first 8 i listed
the new four kids are gonna be heart, hope, life, and void
thus giving hussie the chance to sell even more hoodies
thematically, the final set of kids including heart, hope, and life is pretty appropos
void is a little odd
but it could be viewed as this is the last of the universes
the end per se
how much you wanna bet on this
HOW MUCH YOU WANNA BET

Whatever sells more merchandise.

Hussie really dropped the ball with sellout opportunities on the trolls. A mistake he won't make again.

I assume the "only one of her kind" thing was implying some sort of caste system, like Alternia had.  Would make sense if the Condesce is indeed running a world-controlling empire.
Caste system based on skin color

What an alien concept

...oh dear
Hussie is going to blaze hot new trails on the bleeding edge of racism.

Speaking of blazing trails Hussie isn't wasting any time introducing these new kids.
