My first exposure to Homestuck was that one Vriska avatar somebody (Karnewarrior?) had at the time. Godhood-Vriska's head from Wake. Or whatever that flash was called. The one where Aradia went god-tier and Tavros got ganked.
Urist Imiknorris, I think. Pretty sure, I remember he had a Vriska once after his Doc Scratch one which I really really want but no he has to be cool and switch avatars every once in a while.

No, I think UI had a Vriska with a U MAD sign/smile. I could be getting the two of them confused, but eh.

(It isn't even long, but they say otherwise.)
It is long. It's longest webcomic in existence. The pesterlogs alone are between half and two-thirds of the length of war and peace.

That was me.

I was actually drawn to MSPA by this thread. I caught up just before Make Her Pay.

It's the only webcomic in existence with a video update that is over 10 minutes long.

I saw a 'this fucking pumpkin' image... somewhere, and then I found out what that was, spent three days glued to my computer on PS, then got into homestuck... at some point early on. like, when rose was introduced I think?

I saw VGCats link Problem Sleuth in May 2008 and that's pretty much my origin.

Around when Act 2 was going on I made this thread I think.  I feel kind of stupid looking back at my old posts.

As it turns out, you apparently made this thread directly on my birthday.

Between this thread and a friend of mine (who, for whatever reason, seems to discover awesome things about 1 month after this board does, and then tries to get me interested) I basically kept hearing spiffy things about it and getting curious about the trolls and Doc Scratch and so on. And then Dungeons the Dragoning had Kismesitude as an attitude somebody could have, and yeah.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I know I came in in the middle of Problem Sleuth but I have no idea how I got there. This is probably how, though. An ad that actually worked remarkably well.

Edit: Also, this (which I don't think has been posted yet, but sorry if it has):

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Okay, so we've got probably 36 hours before The Great HiatusStuck is over.  As long as we've got time and no content, I might as well post that fanfic I've been writing, since it's done and all.

I was going to have somebody else review this personally, but I'm don't think I need it.  I just read through the whole thing, and I think it's alright.  Commentary is appreciated.  It is indeed a "stream of consciousness" in the strongest sense, but I tried my best to make it a coherent and cohesive narrative of thoughts.  "Steam of consciousness" isn't an open invitation for rambling bullshit.

Not that it isn't rambling, being kinda long for what it is, but I know I'll never revisit the subject, so I wanted to include every idea I could think of, and hammer it all together so all the parts support each other.

I call it The Cool Mote In God's Eye, because I'm an unoriginal douche.  I know I'm unoriginal, because it's just an exploration of Davesprite (Bad Future Dave) as a character, heavily informed by stuff dellaluce wrote, and if I posted it on AO3, it'd be the fourth "What's Davesprite thinking during Cascade?" hosted there alone.  Be warned, it's also melodramatic and maudlin as all get out.

Okay, whatever, enough introduction.

It's also kinda hard to read on a large monitor in left-aligned 8-point font, but that's the Internet's fault, not mine.  Try copy/pasting it to a word processor.
