Oh yeah.

I often miss little details and stuff unlike I used to because I've been slowly drifting away from MSPA. It used to be like my favorite thing.

It was an immature interpretation of Aqizzar's statement.
I got it. Don't sweat it.

I really could go for buckets right about now. And no the vomit fetish thing doesn't count because no buckets are ever involved. No reference need be made.

Yeah, I really have to say that I'm losing all faith in Hussie at this point.

The fanart's great, but at this point the comic is updating erratically, I've got no idea what's going on, and it no longer feels like a fun, character-driven romp.

Also, Kan and Eridan =/

Yeah, but I haven't seen her for long enough that she might as well be dead, and I want some cute girly-romance for her =/

Hussie admits that there was some sloppiness. This is a highly experimental thing, and I can understand why friction would be caused on some fans. And Eridan died right when he became interesting, although that whole sequence was a bit of a shocker. At least Kanaya seems unchanged, although we don't really get much of her anymore. I think she might have gotten enough time in the spotlight. Although I really don't know where these character arcs are going.

At least we know EoA5 will be kickass amazing.

I dunno about romance. I think these characters work far better with platonic friendships than any form of romance. Like Jades interaction with Kanaya, and basically everything with Karkat and John and their respective circles of friends.

I kinda figured Vector's comment was related to the head-rub pic.

But kanaya's alive!

Wellllll, kinda.  She's motile and conscious, and I guess that's pretty much the same thing.

We have all been wanting this or is that just me.

It was good to at least bring her back, but the spotlight's certainly shifted.

I'm just hoping to see more of the kids for EoA5.

EoA5 flash will be the debut episode of Sweet Bro and Hellja Eff's Variety Howard.

Hussie's first foray into television.

I don't understand why, but for some reason I love absolutely everything about Homestuck. Is there something wrong with me for not being a bitter and disillusioned fan by this point?

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

You are the only sane one here.

I think some people just react to their favorites differently, just as how wildly different favorites tend to be. We just need to be real about the state of the story from a literary standpoint. And it's a mess, but the characters are so enjoyable that we just love to see them interacting. The characters are so good the fanfiction is half-decent by damn near any premise you place them in. But this story is following a pre-determined plot in mind with some deviations that Hussie is used to having around for good gags. The story eventually needs to advance, even through huge swaths of plot never intended in the original story like all the trolls.

As good as they are the story as a whole would probably be more coherent and consistent if the trolls stays as anonymous voices.

We have all been wanting this or is that just me.

Out of curiosity, I went over to Archive of Our Own (where all the fanfic fit to print lives), and checked the numbers.  As of September 6, 2011, 89 for John/Karkat (what part of "i am not a homosexual" don't people understand), 74 for Rose/Kanaya, 53 each for Terezi/Karkat and Terezi/Dave, 43 for Jade/Dave, 33 for John/Vriska, 30 for Gamzee/Tavros, 21 for John/Rose (wat), 12 for Jade/Karkat, and I'm not bothering to count anything else.

So, no, you're not alone.

Well... I'm not completely sure about the whole trolls staying anonymous voices thing. I felt the troll session was a pretty essential counterpart to the kids' completely messed up session because it showed how a regular session would have gone down. Without that we would just be riding on the assurance of some anonymous voices that the kids screwed up their session really bad without having anything to compare it to.

Although even the Troll session was not done correctly, and a lot of the specifics of game mechanics were skipped, like the god-frog universe.

I'm just posting here to report this.

Hussie is totally his own biggest fan.

I don't understand why, but for some reason I love absolutely everything about Homestuck. Is there something wrong with me for not being a bitter and disillusioned fan by this point?
Sure, I'm a bit let down by the pacing as of late, and having neat characters be removed from the story (by death and such) does rankle me a bit. Nevertheless, I'd still count myself a fan. I'm more or less with you, CJ1145.

While I may be experiencing disappointment right now, I see that this is based on expectations I've built up from following and enjoying the series so far... and those are privileged, petty expectations on my part; "My entertainment isn't coming fast enough!", "My favorite characters aren't getting the spotlight!", and so on.

I'm still eagerly awaiting the next twist on this convoluted mobius rollercoaster of a story, whatever it's going to be. I'm eager to see how this Scratch resolves, and how he's going to proceed with the existing characters.

Feh.  Frankly, I don't feel entitled to a better story, I'm just becoming less inclined to read this one as "what I thought it was about" slowly transforms into "what I hoped it wasn't about."
