In other news, how do people get their text so small?

Use multiple sub tags.
That is so illogical it isn't even funny.

I should have tried that first.

Personally, the first thing I would have done would be to click the quote button and see what bbtags showed in the quoted text.

A single pair of sub tags, that's what. You won't get the idea to use like a dozen of them just like that.

Or maybe that's just me :/

For me, it stops getting smaller after the first sub. No idea why.

I am not writing Mathstuck fanfic because it would...

Well, damn.  I might actually have to plot out a short little something and write it.

It will be like someone was writing fanfic while doing their math homework. Or like a math professor decided to write a long word problem for their students after a HS binge.

Pretty much exactly what it is, since Vector will be (or is) a math professor herself. :D

Dave has 50,000,000 Boondollars to invest in gristshares and one day to invest before the session-reset destroys the LoHaCSE.  The gristshare investments return varying rates, depending on how much grist John and Jade earn throughout the day, and how much of Dave's grist Rose torrents out for bullcrap constructions.  If Dave does not grind for grist, the rate of growth averages 6%, but can vary up to 14% if Dave devotes a cycle to grinding.  Assuming Dave can take his returns from the end of the day to rewind and reinvest at the beginning of the day, and assuming the rate growth is effected identically each cycle by the actions of Dave's friends, how many cycles must Dave devote to grinding enemies to turn his investment into 413,000,000,000,000 Boondollars?
