 No, wait, I mean...

Goddammit no I'll have to explain my incredibly clever joke.

Before when all the trolls were alive and Vriska was going around getting herself involved in everything and messing up Jades life there was a conversation where Jade or somebody suggested that if Vriska didn't mess with them Jack, their Demon, would never have netered their session. It was explained away by saying that Jack is in the alpha timeline, and that no matter what Vriska did her actions would only create an offshoot timeline and Jack would enter their session anyway.

Now we have another unstoppable demon who has already done their job of recruiting the space queen witch bitch, and no matter what this young Ancestor Aradia does that unstoppable demon of her future will always be there. Anything different will just spawn an offshoot timeline.

Okay, so, Hussie is a little taller than Scratch, even if he explicitly says Scratch is four feet tall.  I don't know how tall Andrew is, but let's keep that number in mind.  I can't remember a panel where it's particularly clear, but as near I can tell, Scratch is a little taller than Jack/Slick, which would make him I guess three and half feet tall or so.  And with some slightly bad posture, Karkat is eye-level with Jack...  At the same time, looking at where Scratch and realistic not-Aradia stand in relation to the window, Aradia might be a bit taller than Scratch.

So basically we have this hideous math/word problem, all based on having exactly one point of reference.  From that reference point, we might surmise that Hussie is pretty short, Aradia's the same size and about a head taller than Karkat.  Jack doesn't seem nearly as intimidating when you realize he's not much bigger than a clinical midget.  But while this all sounds like typical MSPA goofiness, 13 year olds (and the equivalent) are not supposed to be in the ballpark of four feet tall.

Admittedly, it's been a while since I was 13, but I don't remember being eye-level with lightswitches.

6 feet, apparently.

I am really worried that's a Decoy Scratch and things are about to get worse, but for once I would actually be extremely pleased to see Hussie's self-insert save the day and not result in the situation getting worse or silly.

That's what I thought too. The puppet ruse was a distaction. Scratch doesn't look like he's making any effort to fight back, and predestination says that Aradiancestor grows up to serve Lord English.

If anybody can knock a story off the rails, it's the author, who's currently fucking around with the narrator.  Not-Aradia is certainly taking the opportunity to run for it.

...Indeed, breaking the chain of predestination would doom everyone in the process, which kinda makes sense...

The reason insert-Hussie refuses to get too involved in the story is because he dooms everything he touches.
DOOOOOOOOMS.

So, gan just inserted himself in some kind of doomed timeline then? That's pretty... totally unsurprising at this point to be honest.

Goddamn it, Hussie made the site even more screwed up.

Oh, and we've gotten our first glimpse of Lord English. Terrifying.
