You need a dream self for the methods we've seen. Aradia was a special case, so why can't FF be?

No, because he's either in another session, or in the kid's session. I doubt the former because he'd need another player for his client and we've had no mention of this, and I doubt the latter because we would've seen a fifth prototype.

He's in a session, or he wouldn't have found the alchemical equipment, or the magical land, or the imps, or the quest bed. Presumably his own, since if he had piggy-backed in someone else's game, he wouldn't have to farm his own grist. There's no reason to assume that he wouldn't be a player, and players invariably get dreamselves, and he just died on his quest bed.

Welp, canon says he survives. So maybe his dream-transformation wasn't a prophecy but a flashback?

Oh, and WV? banishes SS? from this universe. Calling it.

That is so gragh I am going to wagh. That makes so little sense I will naaaaaagh.

Why is he not ascending?? What makes you so certain he's not a player? Because he's an adult? Adults play games too.

Laaaaaaaaaagh.

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. I have no idea what the problem is. If he's in another session (which he most definitely is, as proven by his own little logs earlier in the game), that means he is likely a player. And can therefore reach the god tiers.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

Nope. We're intentionally ignoring the hussie factor because else any and every discussion held would just end with "sorry, that won't work, because Hussie"

Update. The Jade panels are done. Hussie hasn't updated the clippings flash yet, so here's a direct link to the new page. Nevermind, he just updated the clippings page.

That's not true. The kids had separate grist supplies until Dave started using GristTorrent. So if Dad was in John's house, he'd find all the equipment and still have to get his own grist.

No, Dad have John's grist. If fedorafreak isn't the player, then the player is out in the magical land, bludgeoning imps to death and harvesting grist, which fedorafreak could use to alchemize new hats.

Well, I guess the player could be dead, but there's something else. Fedorafreak was mortally wounded and just happened to stumble upon a quest bed. He may be a joke character who only makes an appearance here to facilitate exposition from Nannasprite, but he still lives in a world that runs on Sburban time engineering. Do you really think there is a chance of a dying person finding a quest bed that isn't meant for him?

Also Karkat is being funny again! :D

To be a player he would've had to establish a connection with a server, we haven't heard anything about a server, so I'll assume he stumbled into the area of an actual player before they were both sucked into the Medium and has been using the equipment that they had left behind. This does not necessarily make him a player.

He's in a session, or he wouldn't have found the alchemical equipment, or the magical land, or the imps, or the quest bed. Again, hasn't connected to a client and can't be a player.

I'm not saying there won't be a resurrection followed by a tearful father/son stranger/stranger reunion, I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense.

Someone hasn't been checking Andrew's formspring.  :P  And just because it hasn't been mentioned does not mean it didn't happen. He could have easily connected with someone off screen. Heck, he could very well be his own server, solving that problem.

OBJ3CT1ON!
For fedorafreak to be in someone else's session, a client player would have had to establish a connection with a server player. We have heard of neither. Yet, such a connection must exist, as Fedorafreak is inquestionably in a Sburb session, as evidenced by his description of alchemical equipment, and a magical land filled with enemies that turn into grist when killed. How do you explain this? 8)
