Seeing how Vriskas entire thing is a conflict between her character and how she is expected to grow up into, and how the trollcestors are basically what the trolls didn't do, I would believe Karkats ancestor to just not give a single fuck about anything except being an awesome bloodthirsty bastard. IDE/THEORY: Cancestor wasn't trying to overthrow the caste system we have seen. He overthrew the PREVIOUS government and BROUGHT ABOUT the caste system. From a certain point of view, he's as the top of the hemospectrum, even higher than royal violet. He ruled Alternia with an iron hand, and was succeeded by the sea dwellers after he died.

Yes I know this is directly contradicted by Vriska's ancestor journal, shut up. That thing probably only exists in a stable time loop anyway.

So yeah, something that was drawn to my attention.  Notice anything special in that last update?  Anything odd looking among the pile of photos?  It wasn't exactly hard to miss, but here.

It's a panel from the beginning of Act 3, way back in November of 2009.  Just a few days earlier, WV stumbled into some more sciencey crap that gave us an idea of what Skaia's interfaces look like.  Then there was the panel in question, which probably seemed really significant and ominous at the time, but we only knew so much about the game's cosmology, and the whole meteor-impact thing seem straightforward enough.  Bet you, like me, totally forgot about it didn't you?  Well look close, at what that photo album happened to land on.

Yep, eight planets.  Now, I wouldn't put it totally past Hussie to retroactively edit his own comic, but be damned if I don't remember it always looking like that.  Maybe the Wayback Machine would know.  But it just as much wouldn't surprise me that he's be planning a "reset" this whole time too, even if he may not have totally planned out how it would happen.

Hussie, you magnificent bastard.  After taking away all our hopes and dreams and expectations for how the game would end and what would become of the characters, you even figured out a way to take away our power to cry foul.  I am impressed.

Now I believe the Scratch will happen either the 8th of July or somewhere in August to create a third fourth sixth significant number with the birth of the third session.

It's impossible for the reset session to become the Trolls', I'm pretty sure somebody mentioned that it was a hard reset of the kids' universe. The trolls would still have won their game and made it, but the big difference I think would be how the kids grew up.

Anyway, speaking of the last update, check out that photo on the left edge.  I thought it was just gif-compression color loss, but none of Vriska's flying panels looked like that.  It's going be quite a party at that big green dot out there.

The Squiddle intermission will consist of twenty-eight panels, beginning when the Horrorterror Squiddle Armada comes to hold off Bec Noir, now depowered into only having the power of the non-Bec prototypings while the kids finish escaping to the new universe. After that there will be 8 panels of Jack Noir having the shit beat out of him in a parallel to Spades Slick being pounded into the pavement by Doc Scratch. After that, Diamonds Droog will arrive with the Dersian Armada and for eight panels will beat back the Horrorterrors, until at the last moment the Warweary Villein will arrive with Clubs Deuce, the rabbit, and Jade's Grandpa on their great ship, and detonate a Nuclear Fucksplosion, catapulting the Exiles back to Earth, and the alt-Midnight Crew are blown into oblivion with the Horrorterrors (ensuring the next Rose won't be corrupted), and Jade's Grandpa is blown back in time to the beginning of the original session to begin his adventures once again.

And then we'll get back to where Problem Sleuth last left off.
