If it's any consolation, even unfinished it looks pretty nice.

Sometimes its not even forgetting to save. Saves get corrupted too!

(Had that happen to me before, like a weeks worth of writing down the drain)

I know your pain, though it was with a game I was playing and hadn't saved for a while.

Still, it sucks when you lose work because you were to lazy or confident or just forgetful to save.
Even worse when it was due to a single mistake despite exercising much caution up to, and even during, that point. I was drawing on this thing. The mistake was that I clicked the url and then pressed enter. I thought I'd switched over to the other tab I wanted to reload. By "and even during that point", I meant that as soon as I noticed the page was reloading, I kept pressing ESC in an (unfortunately futile) effort to stop the page from loading.
Still, I understand exactly what you mean as that's happened to me before in games, but on a smaller scale because I usually save all the time.
I really need to get a good drawing program that works well with trackpads. GIMP is nice, but I can't draw neatly/easily in it. Hopefully a program that allows manipulation with individual lines like that site I linked.

If it's any consolation, even unfinished it looks pretty nice.
It's some. At least there was anything to show for my efforts at all even if it isn't much out of the collective work done, I guess.

Ooh that sucks, losing everything despite being careful. I remember a few years ago when I was first starting to draw on computers that I screwed around with a file of a drawing I'd made, which turned out real well considering my inexperience and had taken a combination of luck and effort (Adobe Illustrator isn't exactly an instinctual program to work with). I thought I'd made a duplicate. Obviously, I hadn't, and I couldn't even access it. I used to delete/mess with files thinking that they/there were duplicates too many times to count. Thank goodness I'm able to say "I wonder what would happen if no, forget it, I don't care" nowadays when it comes to computers.

Sorry if I come off as sounding indifferent; I've never been good with showing appreciation. I really do appreciate the fact that anyone is saying anything at all. Thanks.

Has a dying fan ever asked you how Homestuck will end?

I'm suddenly wondering if there were some devoted Homestuck readers out there who died between now and when it started.

Now I'm sad.

You motherfuckers better not "smile" at this...

Oh god here come the smiles anyway. You people are awful.

Well, there was that guy who went into a coma.  He got out of it, though.

He must have been more glad about getting out of a coma than most people as soon as he checked to see how many updates he missed.

That was a pretty awesome thread. :)

You could sort of do that in GIMP by drawing every line on its own layer, but that'd be more trouble than it's worth. Have you considered vectors? Feel free to check out Inkscape if you have some free time. I've always found vectors pretty unwieldy to work with, but if you like manipulating individual lines, maybe you could give them a shot.

Probably had an acute heart failure right after.

It's funny though... All the stuff I used to give a shit about now seems pointless.

Except for MSPA obviously. If we take any lesson from this, it's that a long coma will teach you what's really important in life.

I mean, you remember that time when we were standing at that cliff edge, and I was all, "I'M GONNA' JUMP!!"

And, you were all, "Don't do it Leaf... Don't do it. You'll never see MSPA updates again."

I guess he was a hardcore fan, since he clocked out before Problem Sleuth even started but MSPA was still on his mind.  I wonder what he thinks of Homestuck, even though there's no real reason to wonder, since he's been reading it one day at a time like everyone else.

Hussie is everyone, and everyone is Hussie. Therefore, Hussie is Hussie. The logic bomb presented here shall be the weapon I use to detonate the entire universe into a massive fireball shaped like a pair of giant lips.

You're going to explode the universe into a massive fireball shaped like itself? (It's been speculated by physicists that Hussie's lips are pretty much the real-life equivalent of that staff in [S] WV?: Rise up.)
