Well, I have one friend that I introduced to Homestuck. It was revenge for something, but he's hooked mercilessly. And now I have a real person to discuss it with because the internet is a figment of my imagination and you can't prove otherwise.

In conjunction to that, since we exist in the real world and in her imagination, then we only exist because of her imagination. She indirectly built the asylum she's locked in.
She might not know it consciously, but it's stored somewhere in her mind. This is supported by the fact that she replies, or even reads, threads here. I doubt she would reply to this thread if she knew that she created us (she would remember it in some way, and if she did, she would already have an idea of exactly what we would write), since that's comparable to solving a puzzle you made and therefore know the answers to.
Maybe the people she made existed long before she did. Maybe it's a paradoxical sort of existence-- sorta like, "you wouldn't exist without your parents but they wouldn't exist without you", but there's nothing involving time shenanigans, just some sort of equilibrium with the creation of existence.
And see how I'm explaining this here? This is exemplary of her creating us and not knowing she knows the stuff I'm writing.

...With the right writing skills, that actually sounds like it'd make for a nice book.

It's basically impossible to get Kanaya's, Karkat's, Tavros's, and Gamzee's in at once anyways.  They all rely too much on capitalization, especially with Gamzee and Karkat.
