This was always a constant problem, and it's sorta why I can see Vector not seeing any redeemable value to Vriska. This argument came up when both characters first appeared, and it's still around now. It's just as infuriatingly retarded as it always was.

But them I have to remember that her fans are far worse than she ever was.

Oh come on. ::)

Anyway, it wasn't really intended as a serious argument. :P I'm not really invested in this whole discussion.

Oh, I am all kinds of invested in this. This level of investment is the kind futures are built on. Interest keeps pouring into my pockets from the wicked sums of interest I've had all up in this discussion. Who's that walking down the street, sun stamped on his briefcase? It's me, with all the mad dividends. I'm the damned CEO of Vriska-Investment, just sitting up here in the Forbes 500, briefcase overflowing with billions of bank notes graced by an 8-pupiled face in portrait. I'm putting kids through college with that shit.

...but seriously, Vriska has proven herself to be a cruel, manipulative, treacherous, violent, unreliable, spiteful bitch. She's killed and maimed and abused her way through much of the story, and there's no justification for that. Still, she's a pretty interesting antihero with a few inclinations toward good intent, and a lot of possibilities. I'd hate for her to be dead for reals, just as she's showing all kinds of potential for growth.

Anyway, I promise that was the last time I'll talk about Vriska for... at least a few days.

Would you all just stop talking about Vriska? You're sounding like a bunch of complete Dukes.

I'm currently waiting to see what happens next between Rose and John. And there was something else but what was it--oh crap dave nooooooooooo

Yeah, I do too, but I've got one more thing about Vriska.  Damn bitch monopolizes every story she comes up in.

Maybe if Tavros didn't want to get crippled, he should have put up a less pitiable defense against Vriska's mind control.

This was always a constant problem, and it's sorta why I can see Vector not seeing any redeemable value to Vriska. This argument came up when both characters first appeared, and it's still around now. It's just as infuriatingly retarded as it always was.

Ah, but there you're tripping over your own explanations.  That wonderfully horrifying "defense" of what she did to Tavros is exactly what was going through her mind, because that would be perfectly acceptable and expected in their view of the world.  The dichotomy that is Vriska's character development hinges on the fact that she never really believed that herself, that she honestly thought she was helping him and wanted to, but was too experienced at being callous and too addicted to being callous to stop herself from really hurting him when it counted.  It's actually a pretty classical character flaw, uncontrollable temper, bloodlust, pride, and entitlement constantly fucking up her attempts to be a real friend.

Will she learn any self-control that lasts, if she wakes up?  Who knows.

Update and possible Dave-related deaths incoming. Fuck.

GODDAMN IT SOLIFUGE.

EDIT: And Vriska's DEAD too? I don't even begin to see how this could possibly work out with Karkat's "no alien-macking" rule. Maybe this will be another doomed timeline?

Surprisingly, despite continuing depression, this update made my heart feel a bit lighter.

Yeah, all of that hurricane of discussion about Vriska?  Now it's in a whole new light.  A bunch of you just got what you wanted, I hope you feel good about it.

How do I liiiiiiiive... One night without yoooouuuu?

Also, I forgot that nobody actually knows about Jack's inability to attack Jade.  Dave better figure it out pretty goddamn quick.

How much Vriska hate could it possibly take to override what is going on right above?

Well, Vriska's dead. So much for that.

Doc Scratch is about to punch Slick into oblivion.

And I'm guessing it's time for either more Dave Time Shenanigans or Hussie Timeline Shenanigans, mostly because I don't want to see dead Dave and Jade.

So many ninjas. So many.
