 When the body gets mortally injured the injury will slowly bleed onto the dreamself. A kiss from a prince or princess stops the process as well as awakening sleeping dreamselves.

 Or else Sollux would have been a  triple corpse the whole game.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be a prince/princess. After all, Karkat tried bringing Kanaya back, as did Terezi to Tavros. They both failed, but I don't think it's because they're not royalty.

 They are all princes and princesses of Derse and Prospit, so yeah. It is a rule, it just doesn't mean anything with the usual players.

I come home and check MSPA for this?  Holy crap, that panel has enough gravity to collapse a sun.  But John's smiling in the future, so everything has to turn out okay.  Right?

Might as well start speculating.  It's a good thing Vriska left him a long message and then logged off, because John's gonna be pissed.  Maybe.  Also, interesting that Rose's skin is still gray.  Either the dark energies from beyond space didn't leave her in death, or she's not totally "dead".  Either possibility has terrible potential.
