Speaking of Karkat's ancestor, I was linked to this. The first thing I thought of on seeing it was this.

As for His Honorable Tyranny (and the drones, Imperial or Carpenter), they could theoretically be old trolls, I guess. They could also be a different thing entirely, possibly even created by the empire. It wouldn't really surprise me if they went out of their way to create something enormous and terrifying and then saying it would be the perfect judge.

Yeah, even better proof that it's not Karkat, that the chronology of Mindfang's soliloquy is in the future.  She's rambling about Taurancestor, who hadn't been born yet, for a revolution that hadn't happened yet, so "sym69ls" guy almost certainly wasn't in the picture.

So, no giant gnarly Cancestor.  Not that the idea isn't fitting, but it would be pretty weird.

You're using 32-bit color. That's 2^24 colors, plus alpha channel. You could probably drop this to 4 bits with no noticeable loss of quality. If it wasn't for the antialiased text and the blush effect Vriska has in one panel, you could use 2-bit color.

This has been another exciting lesson in color depth!


Also, DeviantArt doesn't resize things. I had this 900x4000, 400kb file once. Tinypic insisted on reducing the physical dimensions while simultaneously increasing the file size.
