The guest artists were especially jarring this time around, seeing as all the art styles were substantially different. The images weren't very coherent, and though I could see what was going on I'd have liked a more cohesive piece overall.

A little too much reliance on moving around still-shots and manipulation thereof, but still good stuff.

To be fair, a lot of flashes rely on this. More actual animation would be neat, but this isn't an isolated incident.

That is pretty much his entire animation system. Sometimes he splurges and has somebody else do a frontal foot walkcycle or a low-frame Karkat waking up, but all his flashes are like this. I do see a decent amount of sloppiness here though, like where you see the scratched disk distortion before Pyralsprite wrecks some shit you can see the outside edges of the dragon head image, and some weird transitions into different artists.

 Edit: Fuck you Lord for one-upping me! I'll get my black revenge and it'll be totally hot.

Yeah yeah, I know all the animations, at least lately, work like this.  They didn't always.  But the point is, this one just felt choppier and more sparse than usual, like he didn't get as many pictures as he wanted and was trying to stretch them to his script.

I'll admit it could be John (or someone else, even) on Rose's computer, but I would think he'd switch over to his own chumhandle rather than using hers, since I'm pretty sure either that or the actual character is what determines the little bubble.

Of course some of that could just be changed later which is why it could still be John using his own chumhandle on Rose's computer. We'll have to wait and see.
