Wow. Redglare's dragon is apparently really hard core. You can't even look into it's eyes safely.

This does provide an interesting view on Troll adults. Apparently you never outgrow your lusus and they continue to help you into adulthood. There is a parallel with both Terezi and Redglare having a dragon lusus, but I don't think Terezis dragon could open her eyes. It was a species that is blind at birth, so who knows. Perhaps their eyes are just heat beam weapons never meant to be used for vision. This also leaves two possibilities for Mindfangs lusus, either Spidermom was on the fleet the whole time for one of the most terrifying things to see on the mast of a pirate fleet and Pyralspite is probably around the same size as spidermom, or Mindfang had a smaller lusus that can be eaten by a dragon around the size of Terezis lusus.

Crabdad is still the best lusus though.

Bear in mind that Terezi's dragon was literally newborn.  Although there's certainly the question of whether it was hatched fully grown, given that it was enormous and had apparently been gestating for centuries, it's still hard to believe that was as big as it was ever going to be.  The red lasereyes is another matter.

Ditto the terrifying prospect of a pirate fleet carrying around a spider the size of most galleons.  Come to think of it, every one of her crewmen whose lusus was still alive would have the same issue.  Every ship is a damn zoo.  I imagine for Trolls whose guardians survive their childhood, much of the logistics of their life would decided by what kind of monstrosity they have to lug around forever after.

...This is going to produce some fucking metal fanart.  We're talking Boris Vallejo album covers here.

Crabdad is still the best lusus though.

Remember how the skull of the previous Mother grub was on the scale with the egg? Either that dragon was staying that size (which was rather big in the first place), or the Mother Grub was just enormous because, you know, MOTHER Grub, because then again, Kanaya's I-could-have-been-a-mother-grub-but-then-decided-not-to-lusus was small compared to that giant skull. I can't find the page, so I might be wrong about its size.

Crabdad is still the best lusus though.

Some people have a theory that Gamzee imitated Vriskas quirk to write that latter in his blood, and if I play into it things get kinda crazy. It means Gamzee, somebody who can imitate others typing quirks and their way of speech and has access to every past and future trollian log with a time-traveling chat client can be in any conversation ever. Hussie can retcon pretty much every conversation with a troll that any troll has not referenced in the past.

I was thinking that it was likely that Gamzee had written it, as it makes more sense to me for more than one reason, but I hadn't thought about the Trollian thing. This has the potential to make the story (even more) impossibly confusing.

Or hell, any human even. He could even be Doc Scratch in the Don't Look Away From The Body chat.

It's a good thing Vriska wrote that because she's a huge bitch.

I don't think that's very likely to happen. Look at some previous examples where trolls tried to mimic others. I don't think impersonation is a talent any of them have.

They can catch impersonations themselves, as shown by John derping around on Roses computer.

 ...

 Eventually.

You would think a civilization that holds the morals of violence and deception highly would be a bit better at detecting this.

But the point is that Terezi was 'fooled' if it was the case of Gamzee writing that note.

They're 13 years old. By 13 yr old standards, they're geniuses. By adult standards, they're... not.

Without giving it a second thought, they use words that I sometimes have to look up the definitions for. And then the other 13-year-old that they're talking to responds accordingly, already knowing what it means. Yeah, at least above average knowledge, I'd say.

You would think a civilization that holds the morals of violence and deception highly would be a bit better at detecting this.

For that matter, a civilization that at age 13 at least, probably spends more time communicating in IM chats than they do actually talking to each other.  (Trust me, it makes sense when you think about it.)

But the point is that Terezi was 'fooled' if it was the case of Gamzee writing that note.
I can't believe we ever thought the trolls were smart.

It's been pretty thoroughly established by now that, however intelligent Terezi actually is, she's an unconscionably bad investigator, if it could be said that investigating anything is ever what she was supposed to be doing.  Basically every character in the story that has an attributed skill or specialty turns out to suck at it.

Which brings it back to whether Gamzee's shtick is imitation, what with the wildcard weapon-slot and the "Bard" thing.  So far, the only person he's actually "fooled" was Equius, who even in-story is thick as a brick.  That said, it wouldn't entirely surprise me if Hussie really did wind up playing that "most important character in the comic" bit straight and makes Gamzee be Everyone Ever.

As long as we're dropping insane theories, one I thought was pretty funny is that Terezi+Gamzee is Hussie's own "crack" pairing.  Recall: Gamzee was Terezi's server player, and did a remarkably unremarkable job at it; Terezi feels some amount of protectiveness for him, in a culture where "love" is supposed to be founded in "pity"; and everybody's getting obsessed with ancestry.  Which is pretty up in the air with Gamzee, so who knows what's gonna happen.
