I was hoping that there was maybe a secret message in the most recent SBaHJ comic.
Who else thought there might be a secret message? I can't be the only one, can I?

I didn't think so. What's all this with deciphering the SB&HJ comics? Has anyone actually even found a secret message in any of the comics? What would there even be to hide?

Occasionally when the SBaHJ style is used in the comic it foreshadows events in extremely oblique ways.

By "foreshadows", Hussie turns one of his Homestuck brainfarts into a SBaHJ comic, then months later, figures he ought to get around to referencing it.

And I guess we're waiting on another flash now.

And I guess we're waiting on another flash now.
Now is such a beautifully appropriate vague term for how much we have been waiting for a flash.

Of course there will be a flash, it's not as if Hussie would take a holiday weekend break or anything, that would be ridiculous.

Knowing Hussie, he's going to post something incredibly stupid on Easter.

Nope, no flash.

Just some more ancestor stuff.

I kinda thought Redglare would be more subtle than that, but nope.

I can't believe I didn't see the callback to "where MAKIN THIS HAPEN" coming.  Now with shades of Snowman and Slick, for more meaningless referential symbolism.

I'm still betting on a "Make her pay. Again." flash in the near future, if not after a scene change or two.  That said, Hussie did finally come around to the idea of making shorter updates while working on flashes, instead of putting the site on hiatus for a week.  Who knows.
