Obligatory "I tried these combinations out 'cause they seem like they should probably fit together, and here's what I thought of them":

Wind && Shade: I was afraid that the timing would be weird because of the difference in length and tried to sync them nicely at the beginning, but gave up and decided to just start them at the same time. They worked surprisingly well, considering the fact that Shade ended 3 minutes ahead of time. I think it helps that it's hard to tell which is which, and I think Shade just kinda faded out as Wind became the more dominant part of the two.

Light && Rain: About two minutes in, it's a little weird. I'll say the same for three and a half minutes in, as well. They aren't balanced that nicely at those two points, IMHO. I really like how the rest of it sounds after the splash, though.

Heat && Clockwork: These two are approximately the same length. I like every part of this song so far up till ~2:40. I don't really know if I like what's going on at that point, but it eventually smooths itself out and wraps up well.

Frost && Frogs: This one matched up almost perfectly from start to finish. I think a half a second's difference would have perfected it, particularly after the halfway point. I didn't check the time when I wrote that second sentence, but I think it was somewhere around 4:00 or 5:00.

Wind is currently reversed, for some reason.

Maybe when it's reversed everything will sync up nicely, but eh, I really don't think any of these are meant to sync up with each other.

How are you guys synching up multiple songs at once?  I'm sure there's fancy shmancy audio programs that can load multiple tracks (I'll try Audacity), but trying to just play multiple songs in different tabs means they start a second or so apart.

As well it should because Hussie totally made up that wonderful word. God, I kinda wish I could think of another context to use it in but really the idea that there may be more than one context for it is disquieting.

How are you guys synching up multiple songs at once?  I'm sure there's fancy shmancy audio programs that can load multiple tracks (I'll try Audacity), but trying to just play multiple songs in different tabs means they start a second or so apart.

I open up one song in one tab, and then another in a separate window, position the window around so that the two play buttons are roughly close together, hit play for both songs so the song loads, pause them both, then click and hold the bar to one song, move the mouse to the play button of the other, then release and reclick immediately. It gets them started pretty close together.

A bit elaborate, but it works.

Heat + Frost: Relaxed, trance-y music with some drums in it. Reminds me kinda or reggae where there's things that don't exactly align tempo-wise, but it's actually pleasant.
