 It's a bit different than his usual jokes too. Remember how he started to shove the BLUH panels off to the side? He knows when a joke gets tired and needs to be slowly put to rest. Involving PS is one of those things.

It never really occurred to me, that all that time Eridan was riding around on his Dad's back.  Same for Equius making his father clean up after him, or Nepeta using Momcat as a chair.

It's a bizarre relationship structure to be sure.
