Vriska is required alive in the future for potential sloppy makeouts* with John, and she is also free of Sollux' doom prophecy, having already died once during the adventure. Eridan... *Karkat wrote John and Dave a memo, where he told them to break it off with Vriska and Terezi respectively, as well as unveiling the SHIPPING CHART. He knew that both Terezi and Vriska had killed Dave once. Terezi only killed Dave minutes before the shit hit the fan, and Vriska killed him as part of his scheme to create Bec Noir. Thus, Karkat writes the memo after the whole murder thing blows over and his greatest worry is having to watch while the Scourge Sisters get their xenosmooch on. Thus, several trolls alive.
