I don't know why there's all this nonsense about Quest Beds and shit.  The question has been settled.  Hussie pulled Aradia's extra-life straight out of his ass, but everyone else is dead as disco.

I honestly don't expect them to stay that way, but they will for a while.  I imagine it'll be like how Problem Sleuth ended, when everyone and their dead doppelganger came back to life in full-color magnificence as the credits roll over a Happily Ever After ending.  Problem Sleuth had the advantage that dead people just hang around Death's dining room, but lets not forget who we're dealing with.  Hussie understands story writing plenty well - yes, death has to have meaning when it happens, but a story has to eventually deliver an emotional payoff.

 Not to mention this would be the ultimate payoff. Kill of characters in a shocking way, have people slowly realize that they are dead forever, mock the people who still believe, wait a little bit a BAM! Huge triumphant return.

Hussie understands story writing plenty well - yes, death has to have meaning when it happens, but a story has to eventually deliver an emotional payoff.

I'm sure he does, but remember, this is only the second REAL story.  (Jailbreak and Bard's Quest don't count.)  Precedent has been set for endings where all good triumphs and all evil is defeated, but a trend most certainly has not.

"300" had a big emotional payoff, too, and look what happened to them.
