I haven't really paid much attention to the whole fanfic scene. I read the one by Kazerad where Nepeta slowly bleeds to death because that one was linked to the blind Nepeta thread, but beyond that, I really have no idea what's going on there.
You should look through my profile then, I have at least 1000000 1/2 fanfic on there.

I've been keeping up with the fanfic threads since roughly the end of the second one.

There are a lot of stinkers. There are also a lot of excellent ones.

I have seen the "Jades first period" fanfic.

 ...

 I'm gonna go die now.

That's nothing.

I've read fics where Jade was an identical clone of John but raised as a girl, and they talk about it, and then Dave and Rose talk about it, in the context of whether or not Dave pursuing a relationship with Jade would be homosexual, and then a fic where Dave and Jade meet, but Dave is an identical clone of Rose, and everything works out great heterosexually.

A fic about Jade's period doesn't seem that bad in comparison.

So, frogs. Motherfuckin frogs. One hell of a loop Hussie's thrown us. And yet, it makes sense...

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

I've read a part of that series, it was pretty good.

I've been going on about this on for a while. Why's everyone so shocked?
They're labeled contraband several times.

Look at the clues, it's obvious that frogs are the key to everything.

I choose to remain blissfully unaware of any and all fanfic that may exist. No matter how good it is, or how "so bad it's good" it is :P

To the salamanders, of course.

IDE/Theory:  FedoraFreak gets teleported in to the session by the appearifier when they try to make a paradox slime clone of him.

Update.

Unseen Dave hilarity is the most frustrating kind.

Past examples being what they are, we'll probably find out in about six months.  More importantly, Jade is going to get an Appearifier.  This can only end well.  I bet I know where that uranium is going.
