The best part of that is somebody made the exact same thing back when Tavros was thrown off the cliff. It's like a meta callback.

This is where you are all wrong. The first death is the good southern gentleman Colonel Sassacre.

I blame the parent. All I can say. I mean the spider one, not Karkat.
Yeah, Spidermom doesn't apply anymore. Before when Vriska had sympathetic traits one may be able to pull that off and rule her as a tragic character, but after she ascended to god mode and got everything back and then some at basically no cost it doesn't matter anymore. She's a huge bitch all on her own.
The lessons her parent taught her are still there. The tragic stuff might  taught that there is no other way she knows how to do things. She's just doing what she does normally, which is being fucking psycho. She was used to killing people to feed her lusus, and manipulating them into getting in the whole thing. She might have had a reason before, but know she can do it all on her own, just like good ol mom.

It's kind of sweet that she kept his legs.
Completely batshit insane, but sweet.
In a kismesis-y way, of course.

Theory:

Terezi kisses Tavros and he lives.

Didn't this already happen to Sollux?

Kinda. Sollux switched to his dreamself when Feferi kissed him, so unless Tavros' dreamself is alive for some reason, it won't work.

And nobody thinks Hussie will add in a new mechanic for Tavros the way he did for Aradia?

EDIT:

Maybe Terezi is just that awesome.

Aradia can just timestop his corpse so they have enough time to figure out a way to save Tavros.

Aradia is timetraveller. She can be there before he fully dies (if he is not already fully dead) and freeze him in time.

Given that he just landed on a hard surface like a squashed bug, complete with the sound effect "DEAD", I'm pretty sure he's dead.  Hussie's Formspring seems to confirm this.  Aradia isn't there when he lands, either.

Some people do think that. I think they're deluding themselves.

Well, okay, it's possible. Sgrub has so many ways to bring the dead back to life it's not even funny. And I guess there are still some plot oddities. For instance, the trolls and humans are cooperating on some kind of project that might end up with them seeing face to face. Meanwhile, Tavros just landed in Terezi's room, neatly and expertly impaled through the chest with his own lance. While Tavros is pretty clumsy and could reasonably fall to his death in the labyrinthine passages of the ectobiology lab, this still looks a bit suspicious. And Terezi is the troll obsessed with justice, so she'll probably investigate. And she's the Seer of Mind, with a sense of smell keen enough to detect lies over IM, so she'll probably get some results. And we got a shot of Gamzee with his face cut up. Is this going to lead into some kind of small-scale civil war for the trolls? If yes, wouldn't someone have mentioned that to John? If no, just what are they going to do about the Vriska situation?

Bluh bluh.

Huge cliffhanger.

Do you think Hussie gets some statistics about how much people are mashing the f5 key?

We should ask him about his unique visitors each day versus total page views.

You can get those stats by clicking on the little "Ads by Project Wonderful!" link under the ads.  It seems to vary from about 2:1 to 4:1 recently.
