Maybe he planted it to start people guessing at possible twists?

At any rate, I actually think this bit's gunna be quite strait forward for once.

I'm thinking it's something along the lines of Bec Noir is there to kill Lord English, but is still setting things up to do so.

For starters, everyone's dream self is going to die one way or another. I've no idea why Noir would want to destroy Prospit without destroying Derse as well, but I'm sure having the player's dreamselves run around would be most inconvienient.

Secondly I'm guessing that Bec Noir wanted to destroy the Sgrub prize, in order to lure Lord English out...
Or, something as reguarly complex.

Though, the only thing I'm seeing strongly is the idea that Lord English and Bec Noir are not the same person....
Bleh, I hate making theories for this. Yet I still do it.

Jack Noir's overriding motive is destruction for its own sake. He doesn't give a shit about English, and I doubt he even knows about him.

You know what would be awesome?
Jade prototyping Becsprite with Grandpacorpse, and Davesprite somehow being still alive to prototype himself with Bro.
It would be the ultimate combo of dead guardian badassitude.

I've no idea why Noir would want to destroy Prospit without destroying Derse as well
Why would he destroy his own planet?

I would not be at all surprised if it was something much more disturbing, like Jade accidentally shooting him or something.

You mean like this?

Yeah, I could definitely see something like that happening.

But I was pointing out that Hussie likes trolling people/retconning things, so until we actually see Grandpa's cause of death (maybe in a Jade childhood flash back) it's relatively safe to assume it was old age.

Though, the only thing I'm seeing strongly is the idea that Lord English and Bec Noir are not the same person....

Come on, that's ridiculous.

They are one and the same.

Look at the Karkat:wake up flash, Derse gets destroyed as well.

Not necessarily. He likely has four other manors scattered across town.

Why would he destroy his own planet?
For the same reason he destroyed everything else?

While, this does sound quite like Noir...
Even if that was the case, would the destruction of Lord English not be the greatest destruction of all?
After all, what do the omnipotent find difficult?
I'd be willing to bet he's after a challenge.

Not necessarily. He likely has four other manors scattered across town.

But still.

It's an interesting theory but the only reason people are buying into it is because Hussnasty is deliberately evasive about it.

Seeing is believing. When we see a second indestructible demon, who is directly called Lord English, I will begin believing that there are two of them.

Come on, that's ridiculous.

They are one and the same.

It's equally possible that Lord English knew Jack was coming, and set the whole thing up to get only Jack to that console.  Running a gang of dunderheaded timetravelers seems so pedestrian for an immortal dimension-traveling demon.  The Felt ruse was a... distraction.  His goals are a lot larger than that, like setting up the Trolls to set up the Kids to fail so he could do... something with two universes.

And yeah, I was directly referring to the unfortunate incident with the good Colonel.  That kind of symmetry is what I've come to expect.

How are you dealing with the Word of Hussie that Lord English has rotating pool ball eyes, and Jack clearly does not?

Who the hell cares about the Word of Hussie about something I've never seen mentioned anywhere in the comic or even in a Formspring post.
