Maybe he needs to use a heat source from the "real world", as opposed to the "game world"?

Unanswered questions re: Hephaestus:

-Why does he have an army of giclopes? I thought they were minions of Derse?

From what I remember of the ACT 4 Opener, each denizen commands the various enemies on his planet. So the denizen of LOHAC gets to command all the shale imps and giclopses, and Hephaestus gets to command the ...sulfur imps? and ruby giclopses on LOHAC.

They're not exactly minions of Derse, at least I don't think they are. I think that one panel where Dad wallops the imps that were trying to lock him up on Derse at the command of Jack Noir should probably be swiftly forgotten about.

So the denizen of LOWAS gets to command all the shale imps and giclopses, and Hephaestus gets to command the ...sulfur imps? and ruby giclopses on LOHAC.
Fixed.

Amber imps(?)
Rust imps
Sulfur ogres
Ruby giclopes
(some other stuff) basilisks

I think Jack Noir and/or the Black Queen was Derse's Denizen, in the sense that he/she controlled the planet's minions.

It's probably not proper to think of them as denizens. There is very specific terminology being thrown around here.

Yea, the denzien is like the second to endgame boss, or the region boss.

If anything you should learn that this game is not linear. If anything it's like chess. You have different pieces important for different functions and reasons. The denizens could well just be a game construct unrelated to the armies warring on Skaia.Perhaps they are simply there for the players to grow, like how Dave was supposed to overcome himself to draw the sword, or Rose is supposed to play the rain.

I know it isn't linear, I was trying to describe what the denziens are the equivalent of.

If the black king in Sburb/Sgrub isn't the end boss, it's going to be Lord English/Jack Noir or some incarnation of that demon.

I think of the Denizens as completely unrelated to the Derse/Prospit conflict as a whole, existing only as a reason for the players to solve each planet's "problem", rather than charge straight to the end while underleveled.

Are we even sure English is supposed to be in the Trolls' session?  If he is, then I'd imagine his significance is to make the players get out of there as fast as they can into their new universe.

Now That Is The Most Annoying Troll.
I agree fully.
Which is made worse because there are some people who actually type like that and refuse to stop

Oh God yes, it's like people who type backwards to get a laugh. Nobody finds it funny but they keep going anyway.

I've started reading Homestuck and I really do like it so far. I think I'm reading up on the beginning of the Trolls' session right now. I'm seeing Karkat mashing his keyboard.

And the Trolls' font is an upside down Oblivion font. This bugs me.
