As I said, messed up kids without enough time to deal with their problems. Perhaps the most tragic for Vriska, who we have established is a jerk because of the issues caused by being raised by a bloodthirsty monster out for Troll blood which she had to kill or be killed. Never had a chance to develop as a character and heal that stuff.

That would be such a quirky and inspirational thing to say if it wasn't already beaten to death and stupid.

All your fictional psychology bullshit does not make me feel for her any more.

Well, as I've said before, the only reason I like Vriska as a character is because she is so profoundly screwed up in a lot of ways that -blah blah personal shit-, so she just garners a lot of sympathy because I want her to overcome her insecurities. Although that outcome is A) never happening or B) going to create a confident, competent killing machine.

Isn't the only thing changing going to be the confident part? She already gained all the levels. Which means who knows how many kills to climb the echeladder.

I would but it does not function for me, dragonshardz.

I don't see any insecurites in Vriska. I see a crazy, mass murdering, unrepentant, irredeemable, lunatic who only seems to derive any character from causing harm to others. Not that I would have it any other way, but sympathy is somthing I think one wouldn't have in regards to Vriska's character archetype.

I think it's funny that they did a earthbound nostalgia sprite thing when I've been on a hell of a nostalgia trip for that game.

I wanna try it but dammit so much to catch up with since bluh bluh and stuff.

I hate her because she has not developed at all beyond being a Bluh Bluh. I do wish to see her overcome her insecurities and gain something that endears her to me, but she doesn't. Heck, none of the trolls really did. They are just as screwed up as when they began. Perhaps this is why they are stuck in this situation, the group to create a universe but not gaining the boon that all heroic journeys must bring with them. Upper-shell things like Eridan killing all land dwellers and Equius not being as lordy over the hemospectrum. However, they reveal deeper problems that have yet to overcome like Eridan having relationship issues and Equius and his domination fetishes. Perhaps this is why they deal with the kids.

I, personally, am the kind of person who enjoys "negative" character development.
I like to see the pacifist break under the strain, turn into an unstoppable killing machine, and wander forever after the loss of everything they loved.
Or maybe the guy who never has a love interest because of his personality gets one, but the love intrest turns out to be worse, and drags the guy down to their level because they're the only one who "loves him".
I like to see people choose the Tower over the Boy.

Layers upon layers. Also SECRET ROM is a terribly nostalgic song, and I think it fuses music from every RPG Hussie was referencing through that update.
